Hedley blows away crowd in Timmins

B.C. pop rockers play to over 15,000 fans at Hollinger Park

Hollinger Park was packed on Wednesday night with an estimated 15,000 plus spectators to see the evening's headliner Hedley to close out Day 5 of the Stars and Thunder festival.

The pride of Abbotsford, British Columbia are one of Canada's most successful pop rock groups of the last few decades.

Lead singer Jacob Hoggard brought out a red solo cup of his favourite beverage with him to open the show, and splashed it around, even coating a local reporter's camera with it.

Their set list included hits such as 'Hello', 'Cha-Ching' and 'Perfect, as well as a cover of Bruno Mars' mega hit 'Uptown Funk'.

At one point during the set, Hoggard noticed a young lady texting during the show, he then brought her phone up onstage and made a FaceTime call to a contact in the phone and showed the young man the massive crowd at Hollinger Park in what was surely one the craziest calls he'd ever received.
