Healthy dose of holiday cheer coming to Downtown Timmins

Free activities being offered at three locations during Holiday Fun Day

A day of festive fun is coming up downtown Timmins.

Get the family together for three hours of holiday cheer Saturday, Dec. 2.

Your Downtown Timmins is putting on a free Holiday Fun Day from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at three locations.

At the Timmins Public Library, 320 2nd Ave., Santa and Mrs. Claus will have gifts for the children. There will also be ornament making, storytelling and songs, as well as a chance to meet the Northern Ontario Expo’s Superheroes.

Across the street at the Timmins Museum, 325 2nd Ave., there will be a bonfire and marshmallows, as well as tours of the Hollinger House.

Toes will be tapping at the Timmins Economic Development Corporation, 130 Spruce St. S., where there will be live music. They will also be serving hot chocolate and cookies, offering temporary Christmas tattoos, Queen Elsa will be there, and there are horse sleigh rides.

Donations for the food bank are being collected at all three locations.
