Save the date: June 18 , 2016

Once again this year the Northeast Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), in conjunction with the Timmins Police Service will be conducting a motorcycle rally through Timmins as a fundraiser to benefit local area domestic violence shelters and the Porcupine Food Bank.

Dave Larsen Northeast H.O.G. director is quoted as saying “While this is a H.O.G. event, all riders of any make of motorcycle are welcome. The rally will proceed through Timmins, Schumacher, and South Porcupine and will take no more than two hours, with two local groups benefitting from the generosity of local riders. This will be our 9th year and it shows the level of community involvement the H.O.G. has in terms of giving back to our less than fortunate citizens ”

The event will have pre-registration but bikers can register the day of the event at 11 a.m. at the Timmins Police Services building.

Entry requires each participant to furnish an unwrapped children’s toy or a non-perishable food item.

The toys will be donated to the domestic violence shelters, while the food items will be donated to the Porcupine Food Bank.

The rally will commence at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, with the Timmins Police Pipes and Drums leading the initial procession from police headquarters on Spruce Street South.
