MATTAGAMI REGION CONSERVATION AUTHORITY

The Mattagami Region Conservation Authority and the Wintergreen Fund for Conservation are recognizing the generous support from three of our local community partners.
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Timmins Golden Nugget Conservation Club and Club Richelieu de Timmins have all made significant contributions to the many projects and programs initiated by the Conservation Authority and the Wintergreen Fund throughout the City of Timmins.
The Golden Nugget Conservation Club over the years has provided support for the development of the Gillies Lake Conservation Area and the community trail system while the Ministry of Natural Resources has assisted with a variety of conservation information and education programs.
The Club Richelieu de Timmins most recently provided a sizable donation towards the South Shore Promenade Project at Gillies Lake.
In the coming years many of our other partners will also be recognized including all the businesses, service clubs and individuals whose support have made our conservation areas and community trail system what they are today.
Their generosity has meant that City residents and visitors have benefited from the hundreds of thousands of dollars Wintergreen and the Conservation Authority have spent throughout the community.
The news conference will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 12 noon at the Mattagami Region Conservation Authority offices at the Gillies Lake Conservation Area.
