Take part in Canada's seventh annual Culture Days weekend and the fourth in the City of Timmins. Meet artists and cultural groups in the community and participate in hands-on activities – all free of charge!

This year welcomes new event hosts Michelle Lapointe of Zumba Timmins, Inc., local artist and writer Maggie Jasaitis with the auspices of the Timmins Public Library, Tanya Thurston of Thurston Stained Glass in Schumacher, and St. Matthew's Anglican Cathedral. Returning event hosts are Steve Kessler and Friends, Wawaitin Clayworks, Northern Ontario School of Scottish Dance, Science Timmins Astronomy Club, and the Porcupine Art Club.

This year's first event will be Zumba Timmins' Open House, which starts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening.

Culture Days is committed to reaching the goal of having all Canadians in every community declaring "I Love Culture" and making culture a daily habit.

Launched in 2010, Culture Days is a volunteer-driven-initiative guided by a national organization in collaboration with volunteer Provincial Task Forces, whose members come from a variety of backgrounds including cultural programming, tourism, municipal cultural planning and public engagement, who rally their arts and cultural communities to promote the event to the public in communities of all sizes across Canada.
