Freezing rain warning in effect for:
Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Freezing rain is expected to develop over a large part of Northeastern Ontario by this evening, and may last in some areas such as Timmins into the overnight hours.
Motorists and pedestrians should be prepared for hazardous winter travel conditions. Untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. Freezing Rain Warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls
Kirkland Lake - Englehart
Risk of freezing rain or freezing drizzle Tuesday afternoon and evening.
There is a risk of freezing rain or freezing drizzle as an area of precipitation moves into the area Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Current indications suggest that the area most likely to see freezing rain appears to be a swath of Northeastern Ontario from Chapleau to Kirkland Lake and Temagami beginning in the afternoon.
This swath is forecast to push north towards Timmins Tuesday evening.
It is possible that any freezing rain that does occur could take several hours to change over to rain.
Environment Canada meteorologists will continue to monitor this situation closely and issue a freezing rain warning if required.
Travel may become difficult at times due to slippery roads and walkways.
Motorists should consider allowing extra time to reach their destination.
