Tickets for this year's Timmins PITCH event are on sale.

The Northern Ontario Angels are co-hosting the fourth-annual event with the Productivity and Innovation Centre (PIC). It's being held at College Boreal Oct. 3, with the doors opening at 5 p.m. and the pitches starting at 5:45 p.m.

The companies pitching their ideas to potential angel investors this year are TruckBuddy, AJ's Plumbing, IRegained, and DewAir.

The Northern Ontario Angels connect entrepreneurs in the area with investment and expertise needed to grow. When a business is ready for investment, the angels help connect them with investors.

"Partnering with the Northern Ontario Angels to co-host investor pitch events provides our entrepreneurs with further options to help with business scale-up and product launch. Often it is difficult for entrepreneurs to secure financing from traditional sources, particularly for early-stage development. Angel investors are willing to take greater risks for greater rewards," said Ross MacDonald, PIC business development specialist, in a news release.

"In 2016 we first partnered with the Northern Ontario Angels to host a pitch event. As a result, one of our entrepreneurs later secured seed capital which enabled him to move forward with his innovative product launch. He continues today with scaling up business operations."

If you want to watch the pitches, pre-registration is required and can be done online here. The cost is $10 each, or $5 for Timmins Chamber of Commerce members.
