At the time of this report, seven fires are active in the region.

  • Sudbury 21, located northwest of Halfway Lake Provincial Park, was discovered on June 14 and is not under control at 0.1 of a hectare
  • Cochrane 4, located in the far north, was discovered on June 14 and is being observed at 120 hectares
  • Sault Ste. Marie 3, located north of Elliot Lake, was discovered on June 13 and is being held at 0.1 of a hectare
  • Sault Ste. Marie 2, also located north of Elliot lake, was discovered on June 13 and is being held at 0.1 of a hectare
  • Sudbury 19, located on an Island on Whitson Lake, was discovered on June 12 and is under control at 1 hectare
  • Cochrane 3, located in Peawanuck, was discovered on June 11 and is under control at 8 hectares
  • Cochrane 2, located near the community of Peawanuck, was discovered on June 11 and is being held at 122 hectares

The forest fire hazard ranges from low to moderate across the region.
