The donations total $3,000

A couple local groups are helping keep shelves stocked at the South Porcupine Food Bank.

Last month, the United Steelworkers Local 9350 stopped by to donate $1,750.

The New Horizons Seniors Curling League also donated $1,253 to the organization.

The South Porcupine Food Bank is run by about 30 volunteers. In a release last year, it said the 2019 monthly operating costs averaged about $6,243.

It's located at 32 Main St. in South Porcupine.
