MATTAGAMI REGION CONSERVATION AUTHORITY

The Mattagami Region Conservation Authority would like to advise area residents that a large weather system with significant rain has recently passed though the Timmins area and more rain is expected.
The high rainfall amounts may be sufficient to produce some minor flooding in poorly drained and low-lying areas throughout the City.
The main danger to public safety will be from fast-moving water in local creeks and ditches.
Parents are asked to instruct their children to stay away from these areas while water elevations remain high.
