Colour Riot Collagraph

Saturday, June 16, 1 – 3 p.m.

Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre

It’s kids Saturday at the museum! For this instalment, you’ll get to check out the Porcupine Art Club’s Colour Riot show and hunt for the collagraph print in the exhibit. After you find it, you’ll learn to make your own print. The free event is for kids ages three and up.

Timmins Get Clean

Saturday, June 16, 10 a.m.

First Baptist Church, Second Avenue

The Homeless Coalition of Timmins is rallying the community for a clean up. Registration is from 9:30 – 10 a.m. at the church. Volunteers will be given a cleaning location when they register. After the clean-up there is a community meal at the church from noon to 1:30 p.m. Later that day, there is a celebration at The Working Class from 8 - 10 p.m. There will be music from Lee Hannigan and Friends.

TD Summer Reading Club Launch

Saturday, June 16, 10:30 a.m.

Timmins Public Library

Get your summer read on and sign up for the free summer reading program geared to children ages three to 13. The launch will introduce people to the program, as well as highlight community literacy partners.

Garden Days

June 16 – 24

To celebrate the annual week for Canada’s garden culture, stop by the South Porcupine library branch to make your own plant marker with the supplies provided. The seed library is still open for borrowing seeds, and there is a gardening art exhibit. For more information, call 705-360-2623 ext. 8590.
