Forty-five agri-food producers and organizations from the North will travel to Toronto Nov. 3-11 to take part in the 2023 Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion.

Northern Ontario producers will once again showcase their agricultural products at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair with help from FedNor.

The federal funding agency announced $679,505 for Economic Partners-Sudbury East/West Nipissing Inc. to support the Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion, which will exhibit at the fair this Nov. 3-11 at Exhibition Place in Toronto.

“This investment will further help agri-food businesses in Northern Ontario, including in Nickel Belt, to continue to grow and succeed,” Nickel Belt MP Marc Serré said in a May 25 news release.

“Supporting the Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion means creating an opportunity for the rest of the world to discover the wonderful offerings our region brings to the table.”

The Royal is the largest indoor agricultural and equestrian event in the world, annually drawing more than 300,000 visitors to experience the products and services, food, and events showcased on its grounds.

The Northern Ontario Agri-Food Pavilion has exhibited at the fair since 2001, and it has more than tripled in size and number of exhibitors since then.

Since 2015, the pavilion has generated more than $7.2 million in on-site and projected sales for exhibitors.

This year, 45 Northern Ontario producers and organizations will participate in the event.
