The public is being advised that between the period of Jan. 22 to March 1, 2018, Central Timmins Exploration Corp. (CTEC) will be flying a low level geophysical survey over the Mountjoy and Deloro areas for the purpose of mineral exploration.

While the City of Timmins is not involved in these activities, it expressed no objections and wishes to advise the public in the event of any concerns.

“The aircraft will fly along the proposed flight path at a minimum altitude of 80 meters above the ground,” advised CTEC Director Neville Dastoor in a letter to the City. “The survey will be flown by Gedex Earth Inc utilizing an experienced aircraft operating company. Aries aviation has more than 20 years conducting exploration surveys and has a perfect safety record.

“The survey will be flown in daylight hours in good weather conditions and will take several days to complete. The schedule of flying is weather dependent but will take place between the period of Jan. 22 and March 1, 2018. The survey will be flown in a manner to minimize disruption and the aircraft will not fly over residential areas.”
