East end remembers

A snowy Saturday morning brings out a large crowd

East end residents braved chilly conditions and a swirling snowfall on Saturday morning to take part in the Remembrance Day ceremonies outside of Branch 287 of the Royal Canadian Legion in South Porcupine.

Veterans, Legion members, military personnel, firefighters, and police were among those taking part in the annual march in advance of the ceremonies in which dozens of wreaths were laid in tribute to those who fought in wars around the globe.
