During the month of October, Timmins Police officers charged one person with impaired driving.

During the early morning hours of October 25, 2014, police observed a driver exiting a vehicle after arriving at a local establishment.

Upon speaking with the driver of the vehicle, police observed signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Timmins Police Service.

The driver of the vehicle, Daniel FLEURY, age 38 of Timmins, was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

He was released on a Promise to Appear in court with a court date of November 18, 2014.

The Timmins Police Service reminds the public that although October has seen a reduction in the number of impaired driving charges, the goal is zero impaired driving charges.

Residents are reminded to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1.
