Cochrane District Crime Stoppers are asking the public to report the use of date rape drugs.

Approximately 2 weeks ago a young adult was suspected of having their drink unknowingly drugged in a local establishment.

Date rape drugs such as Roofies or Ketamine are slipped into a victim’s drink.

The victim becomes incapacitated so they may fall prey to a sexual assault.

Symptoms include being uncoordinated, sleepy, sick or incoherent.

When going out socially, always go with a friend or in a group.

Never leave your drink unattended or accept one from a stranger.

If you suspect someone of either committing this crime or being the victim of it, call 911.

Any information on this incident can be reported to Crime Stoppers at 705-268-8477, or provided to tipsubmit.com.

You can earn a cash reward while remaining completely anonymous.

A safer community is just a phone call away!
