Crash closes Highway 11 near Englehart (Updated)

There are detours in place

A fiery crash has closed Highway 11 near Englehart.

According to OPP, the crashed happened around 4:45 p.m. north of Englehart.

OPP say a tractor trailer collided with a cube van, causing the vehicles to catch fire. Injuries are not known at this time.

It is not known when the road will re-open, and there are detours in place.

Police say northbound traffic can take Highway 65 west near Temiskaming Shores, then take Highway 66 north back to Highway 11.

For southbound traffic, the detour is Highway 66 west at Kenogami to Highway 65, then east to Highway 11.

Members from the Kirkland Lake Detachment and the Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP responded. The Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team, Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), Miller Group, Englehart Fire Department and Temiskaming Shores Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are helping with the investigation.
