Community supports return of annual celebration (6 photos)

Activities on until 5 p.m.

The sun came out to shine on the return of National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations in Timmins.

The last in-person event was held in 2019 due to the pandemic.

Today, people of all ages were taking in the vendor, activities and market at Participark.

Along with traditional drumming, dancing and teachings, there was live entertainment, games for children and adults and traditional food sampling.

The activities run until 5 p.m.
