An annual rally and march is taking place tonight.
Take Back the Night is taking place Sept. 17 at the Timmins and Area Women in Crisis (TAWC), 355 Wilson Ave. There's a rally at 6:30 p.m. and a march at 7 p.m.
The event is held around the world to protest gender-based violence and sexual violence. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
If you're on the road during the march, there will be some traffic disruptions.
The route will go along Wilson to Mountjoy Street South, across Third Avenue to Pine Street, then along Algonquin Boulevard to Cloutier Street, ending back at the shelter. Timmins Police will be escorting the marchers along the route.
