NEWS RELEASE

TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

*************************
As part of their assigned duties, students completing their scholastic co-op program with the Timmins Police Service are required to complete various tasks under the tutelage of Sergeant Marty Delich.

One component is to complete impromptu essays and complete classroom presentations on a law enforcement-related topic of their choosing.

This is only one facet of a broad range of tasks and experiences that these capable students are required to complete.

Pictured above, working feverishly, are (left to right) co-op students Austin Holmes, 16, of O’Gorman Secondary School, Cortny Marcaccini-Brousseau, 17, of Timmins High and Vocational School, and Alexya Racicot, 16 of Ecole Secondaire Catholique Theriault.

The Timmins Police Service places a high value on participation in programs that are focused on individual scholastic achievement with local youth and the personal growth that comes from self-less public service.

The co-op program readily allows for these eager students to learn from their experiences with the Timmins Police Service and foster interest in a potential future career in municipal policing.
