A local club is helping spread a little hope.
The Schumacher Lions Club recently donated $2,500 to A Hope for a Better Tomorrow, a program run by the South Porcupine Pentecostal Church.
"It provides one hot meal every week to people identified as in need in the east end. Meals are prepared in a Porcupine Health Unit-certified kitchen and then delivered between 1 and 3 p.m. on Sundays," said the Lions Club in a news release.
