Chapleau police bring in Lively pair after rash of break-ins

CHAPLEAU – On Sunday December 20, 2015 at approximately 1 p.m., members of the Superior East Chapleau Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Break and Enter incident located in the Degualle Township District of Sudbury.

During the investigation police determined that 13 properties had been broken into with various items taken from each property.

As a result of an extensive investigation conducted by members of the Superior East Chapleau officers and the assistance of the South Porcupine Identification Unit police arrested and charged two males.

Nicholas David NAROZANSKI (20) of Lively Ontario was charged with the following offences;

  • 8 Counts of Adult Break and Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

  • 4 Counts of Adult Mischief under $5,000 contrary to section 430(4) CCC

  • 1 Count of Adult Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CCC

  • 1 Count of Adult Possession of Break in Instrument contrary to section 351(1) of the CCC

  • 2 Counts of Adult Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent contrary to section 335(1) of the CCC

    James Bradley SHANOHA (19) of Lively Ontario was charged with the following offences;

  • 8 Counts of Adult Break and Enter to a dwelling house with intent to Commit indictable offence contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

  • 4 Counts of Adult Mischief under $5,000 contrary to section 430(4) of the CCC

  • 1 Count of Adult Theft under $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 334(b) of the CCC

  • 1 Count of Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CCC

  • 1 Count of Adult Possession of Break in Instrument contrary to section 351(1) of the CCC

  • 2 Counts of Adult Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent contrary to section 335(1) of the CCC

Both males were transported to Timmins Court for Bail Hearings.
