A Timmins business continues to support the local hospital.

Gord Wilson and June Woodburn of Western Auto Sales recently donated $10,000 to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation to support priority needs at the facility.

"We give to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation to support our local community. We want to help make a difference in bringing exemplary care to northerners," said Wilson in a news release.

The used vehicle dealership is marking its 40th anniversary in 2022. Wilson and Woodburn have supported the hospital foundation for more than 25 years.

"Thanks to donors like Western Auto Sales, we are able to make a difference by purchasing new medical equipment and funding renovations that support the changing needs of patient care. It is important to remember that the government of Ontario covers important operating costs at TADH, but does not fund equipment purchases or capital improvements," said the foundation's Barb McCormick.
