SOUTH PORCUPINE – The South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operators to exercise safety and to respect the privacy of others - avoid flying over private property or taking photos or videos without permission.    

With more and more people using UAVs for work or pleasure, operators must ensure they understand the rules that apply and follow them diligently.  

You are responsible to fly your UAV safely and legally.

In Canada, you must follow the rules set out in the Canadian Aviation Regulations and respect the Criminal Code.

As well as all municipal, provincial, and territorial laws related to trespassing and privacy.

The South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the communities it serves.
