The Town of Moose Factory has issued a boil water advisory, according to the Porcupine Health Unit.

"Residents affected are required to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to use or use bottled water," reads an alert from the health unit.

During the advisory, the health unit says boiled water should be used for: drinking, brushing teeth, handwashing, washing fruits and vegetables, preparing food and baby formula, making ice, coffee makers, sponge bathing babies and young children (after water cools), and giving water to pets.

Tap water can be used for washing clothes, taking showers, shaving and flushing toilets.
