TimminsToday received the following notice from Joanne Drake, the territory manager for Canadian Blood Services, requesting more people to donate blood in the area.

Higher than expected appointment cancellations and no-shows have left donor chairs empty.
We only collected 73 units of blood yesterday (our target was 96 units) at the Timmins blood donor clinic.
Canada's blood inventory levels are at an all time low so we really need people to get out and donate blood today.
We are at the St. Dominique Church Hall, 720 Park today from 12 - 2:30 and 4 - 6:30.
It only takes an hour of your time to save someone life!
