Auxiliary donates $100K to hospital foundation

An annual donation is allowing the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation to buy a number of new items.

This week, the Timmins and District Hospital Auxiliary donated $100,000 to the foundation. 

With the cash, the foundation will be able to purchase new equipment for several departments.

The list of items includes:

• Two meal carts for the dietary department

• An infant sinus scope for the operating room for ENT surgery

• An ECG cart for the emergency department 

• A Zepto Capsulotomy for the operating room for opthamology 

• A spica table for the fracture clinic

• Glidescope for the critical care unit

• Five vital sign monitors for surgical in patients
