The Timmins, Cochrane and Timiskaming District Association of Realtors reports that May home sales have surged back to almost normal levels after a record-low month of April.
April's 43 residential sales marked the lowest level of sales for the month going back over three decades.
In May, there were 167 new residential listings, a large decline of 46 per cent over a year to year basis and a 30-year low for the month.
In May 2020:
- 100 was the number of total property sold
- $160,412 was the average price of homes sold
- 167 new residential units were posted
To compare, in May 2019:
- 133 was the number of total property sold
- $177,255.26 was the average price of homes sold
- 89 new residential listings were posted
In April 2020:
- 54 was the number of total property sold
- $179,133 was the average price of homes sold
- 82 new residential units were posted
