Members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police held their annual 'Fill a Cruiser for the Holidays' Food Drive and were joined by members of the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners Junior "A" Hockey Club for the event.

Our goal was to collect 1,200 lbs of food donations, and we are very pleased to share that our total amount collected was 1,597 lbs of food donations and $1,080 in cash donations.

We would like to thank everyone who generously donated to this cause and for supporting our local Salvation Army Food Bank.

We would also like to thank the owners of the Kirkland Lake Giant Tiger, Kirkland Lake Foodland and Pettenuzzo's Your Independent Grocer (YIG) for hosting us. A big shout out to the Gold Miners Junior "A" hockey club players who volunteered their time and assisted us with this event.
