TIMMINS –- Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus and MPP Gilles Bisson are holding a passport clinic and birth certificate clinic at the Timmins Square this Saturday. The clinic will offer residents the opportunity to have their applications checked and then sent out through Angus and Bissons’ offices.

At our office, we help people every day with their passports. Going to the mall is a way of bringing this service to the community. It’s about providing service in a convenient manner to people of our region."

Angus recently held a clinic in Cochrane, which experienced a tremendous turn-out.

Even though we have been doing passports at our offices for the last 10 years, some people still are not aware that we do offer this service. I invite you to bring your completed applications Saturday to the square. If you need an application we will have those on hand as well.”

Bisson will also be on hand with his staff to assist people with birth certificates and any other provincial government document.

“Birth certificates are required for a wide range of identification applications and even travel requirements. Not everyone has one, or they may have become damaged. My staff and I will be pleased to assist you.”

The passport and birth certificate clinic will run on Saturday, February 15th at the Timmins Square, near the Boathouse, from 9am til 6pm. Staffers will be on hand to ensure applications are correct and will handle mailing and tracking of the application.
