Children will have the chance to learn about winter outdoor safety at a free session.

The Timmins Porcupine Search and Rescue is offering an Adventure Smart program Feb. 10 at Porcupine Ski Runners.

The sessions are being held for the kids in the cross-country ski club's Jackrabbit program, but there are a limited number of spots open to the public. The sessions are being held at noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. at the club’s chalet.

The session is free and open to children ages five to 12.

If you are interested in signing up your child, email Christine Dorion at [email protected] by Feb. 1.
