Strong crowds filled Hollinger Park on the opening weekend of the city's eight-day Stars and Thunder festival.
Saturday marked St. Jean Baptiste Day and featured an all-Francophone musical lineup headlined by Quebec legend Michel Pagliaro.
Sunday was a little chillier, but crowds were bigger for a lineup which included David Wilcox and Sass Jordan.
The festival now shifts into weekday mode with gates opening at 2 p.m., and entertainment beginning at 4pm. Monday's lineup has Beverley Mahood, who emceed the weekend shows, kicking things off followed by J.J. Shiplett, Joel Plaskett, and Tom Cochrane with Red Rider.
