Dear Friends,

On behalf of all of the Northeastern Catholic District School Board students and staff, I want to extend our wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

In the hustle and bustle of the season, we can sometimes forget the meaning of this truly blessed Holy time. I encourage you to take a few minutes to listen to the laughter of children, to stop whatever you are doing when you hear your favourite Christmas carol and sing along, or take the time to do something for someone in need. These special moments will fill your soul with the true meaning of the season… our Lord, Jesus Christ is born among us.

As Catholics, we are taught to help our fellow human beings in need, that it is better to give than to receive and to “love thy neighbor as thyself”. These teachings are fundamental to all of us; if we all follow them, then this world will truly be a better place.

We wish you a joyful, family-filled holiday and time to recharge your batteries and to reflect upon the coming New Year.

May God Bless,

  Glenn Sheculski Director of Education
