A cannabis store is setting its sites on the Porcupine Mall for a new location.
The AGCO currently lists three potential new stores for Timmins.
Sessions Cannabis, which also has a location in the Park Road Square near Hollinger Park, has applied for a store at the Porcupine Mall. The application is in the public notice period. People have until Dec. 15 to file an objection to it.
There is also an application in progress for a Cannaverse store at 1500 Riverside Dr. The public notice period for that store was July 6-20, 2022.
Inspired Cannabis has an application in progress for 681 Algonquin Blvd. The public notice period for that ended on June 2.
The first legal marijuana store in Timmins opened back in May 2020.
According to the AGCO, seven stores have been authorized to open in Timmins so far.
