Timmins newest legal marijuana shop is opening its doors to the public tomorrow.
Sessions Cannabis located in Park Road Square opens Thursday, Feb. 25 at 9 a.m. There will be giveaways, store-wide specials, and a performance by Paul Sebalj.
This is the northern-most location for the company.
“We are proud to build our brand in this community while elevating the legal cannabis retail industry,” said Steven Fry, CEO and co-founder of Sessions Cannabis, in a news release.
“Over the past year, we have seen strong demand and a warm welcome from communities like the one here in Timmins. We are committed to keeping the local spirit a part of our location and are excited to share the Sessions experience here.”
According to the company, the store is open-concept, clean, bright and welcoming. There is also a mural wall featuring a photograph from local photographer Mark Clement.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, there is a reduced capacity in the store. People who are stopping by are encouraged to bundle up in case there's a brief wait outside.
This is the second cannabis shop to open in Timmins. Last year, Dutch Love Cannabis, formerly known as Hobo Cannabis, opened on Riverside Drive near Pizza Hut.
Sessions Cannabis is located at 425 Algonquin Blvd. E.
