Timmins business picks up award

A Timmins business has reason to celebrate after being named the Best Home Hardware Building Centre.

Independently operated by dealer/owners Michel Mathieu, Pascal Morin, Stéphane Coté and Roman Romaniuk, Timmins Building Supplies Home Hardware has been in the community for more than 35 years. 

The store located at 1700 Riverside Dr. was recently named the Best Home Hardware Building Centre – Central Region at the Proud of My Home Achievement Awards and Celebration. The awards were handed out at a virtual event on Sept. 27.

“We are honoured to be acknowledged with the Proud of My Home Achievement Award for  Best Home Hardware Building Centre –Central Region,” said Morin in a news release. “Our commitment to outstanding customer service has always set us apart from the competition. We owe our success to our incredible team who delivered superior customer service during a challenging year.”

For the award, stores must demonstrate excellence in staff performance and customer service, interior and exterior presentation, staff training and participation in dealer network initiatives.

“The Proud of My Home Achievement Award recognizes Timmins Building Supplies Home  Hardware’s commitment and dedication to putting their customers first,” said Kevin Macnab, Home Hardware Stores Limited president and CEO. “On behalf of the dealer-owners of close to 1,100 Home Hardware stores in communities across Canada, I would like to congratulate them on this achievement.”
