A Timmins lawyer is proud to once again be serving the northeast.

Donna Dorrington of Dorrington Law Professional Corporation has been chosen to serve another term as Northeast Regional Director for the Ontario Bar Association (OBA). The new term started Sept. 1.

“We’ve seen many changes over the past few years, and with those changes have come many challenges. But the OBA has been leading the way with strong advocacy, innovative ideas, services and solutions. I look forward to receiving the input of the bar in the Northeast Region, and seeing how we can improve services even further," she said in a news release.

As regional director, Dorrington represents the region on the board of directors.

"This includes consulting with local lawyers to gather issues, ideas and concerns regarding the practice of law in the region, regulatory requirements, substantive law, access to justice and other justice sector issues. Input from regional directors helps ensure local lawyers have access to relevant OBA tools, services, government advocacy and other assistance," reads the news release.
