The centre is located at 325 Second Avenue, in downtown Timmins. The museum includes a local history gallery featuring rotating exhibitions on the Porcupine Camp, one of Canada’s most important gold mining areas. Our national exhibition centre hosts travelling exhibitions from museum s and galleries from across Canada. Bilingual educational programmes are available for grades one to twelve. We also offer a variety of workshops for adults and children dealing with arts and heritage themes. The museum grounds include an example of a historic Hollinger House; the exhibits in the home depict what life could have been like in the 1930’s in Timmins. A prospectors’ cabin recreates a bit of the wild frontier and tells the story of early prospectors to our area.
