Timmins is celebrating Canada Day virtually

The lineup for this year's virtual Canada Day in Timmins has been revealed.

According to Tourism Timmins, the pre-recorded event will be available starting at 7 a.m. July 1. You can watch the curated YouTube playlist on Facebook.

The videos include:

• Lisa Froment singing the national anthem

• Addresses from Timmins Mayor George Pirie, Mattagami First Nation Chief Chad Boissoneault, Timmins MPP Gilles Bisson, and Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus.

• Entertainment from Carole Hunter and Chris Aitken, "Mr. Bill" Farquhar, Shaun Melanson, Matt James, Dave Carroll, and Jamie Klomp.

• The Best Canada Day Theme Backyard

There is also Canada Day programming from the national daytime and evening show, and national fireworks video.
