The Timiskaming Health Unit is reporting one new COVID-19 case.

According to the health unit, the person is in stable condition at Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard.

"All necessary infection prevention and control measures were used with this patient. The case is presently under investigation. Contact tracing is underway and those who have been identified as close contacts have been, or are in the process of being notified," reads the bulletin shared on Facebook.

This is the Timiskaming Health Unit's 19th confirmed case of the virus.

The last positive test was reported Nov. 16 and was part of the outbreak at Alamos Gold's Young-Davidson Mine near Matachewan. That outbreak has since been declared over.
