New COVID-19 case reported in Hearst area

One new COVID-19 case has been confirmed in the Porcupine Health Unit region. 

It is a person in the are of Hearst, Hornepayne. The exposure of the case is under investigation and the person is in self-isolation, according to the health unit.

To date, there have been 330 confirmed cases of the virus in the health unit region. Of those, 279 are recovered and 25 people have died. There are 26 known active cases.

There are COVID-19 assessment centres in Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Hearst, and Hornepayne.
