Dr. Lianne Catton, Medical Officer of Health, Porcupine Health Unit is releasing information related to a positive case of COVID-19.

Through the investigation, we have learned that there may have been potential exposure at the Lord’s Kitchen on the following dates:
• March 12, 2020 – Dinner
• March 13, 2020 – Breakfast
• March 20, 2020 – Breakfast

As a precaution, the PHU is asking any volunteers or patrons with symptoms related to COVID-19 – fever, new or worsening cough and/or shortness of breath, who attended the Lord’s Kitchen on the above dates to call their primary care provider or the Porcupine Health Unit’s COVID-19 Info Line at 705-267-1181 at extension 2919 for assessment.

This potential exposure has occurred more than 14 days ago. At this time there is no indication of spread of COVID-19 to others from this exposure. If you attended on these dates and do not have any symptoms concerning for COVID-19 please continue to stay home as much as possible and monitor for symptoms as per guidance for all community members.

COVID-19 is circulating in our area. Take preventive measures to reduce the spread: physical distancing — keeping at least 2 metres or 6 feet distance — between yourself and others. Everyone, not just travellers, please stay home if you’re feeling ill. Even if this feels like just a cold. You can help keep someone else from getting more seriously ill.

If you think you may have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has it, first self-isolate and then use Ontario’s Self-Assessment Tool (https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/#q0) to see if you need to seek further care.

If you need further assistance, call TeleHealth Ontario at 1-866-797- 0000 or your health care provider. You can also call the Porcupine Health Unit at 705-267-1181 or toll-free 1-800-461-1818.
