The overnight shelter services at Living Space are being suspended, according to the Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board CAO.
In the daily health table update for COVID-19, Brian Marks said the transitional units will remain open.
Late last week, Living Space, which is located on Cedar Street North, started working with the Bon-Air Motel and 40 rooms were reserved for people who are homeless.
Marks said that has been discontinued.
“In terms of homelessness, through a partnership with Northern College we are relocating 27 homeless patrons to the Northern College residence in order to facilitate social distancing in the homeless population in Timmins,” he said, adding that happen this afternoon.
