A new community food program calendar is responding to service changes due to COVID-19.
According to Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board (CDSSAB) executive director Brian Marks, the new food security schedule starts April 4.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday
COVID-19 Food Project with a hot take-out meal at the Lord's Kitchen
Tuesday
South Porcupine Food bank open from 1 - 3:00 p.m.
First Baptist Church hot take-out dinner from 5 - 6 p.m.
Wednesday
Timmins Food Bank open from 8:15 - 11 :15 a.m.
Salvation Army hot take-out dinner from 4 - 5 p.m.
Thursday
Lord's Kitchen/Rotary hot take-out supper from 4 - 5:30 p.m.
Friday
Lord's Kitchen hot take-out breakfast from 7 - 8:30 a.m.
First Baptist Church hot take out lunch and food bank from 12:30 - 2 p.m.
Saturday
South Porcupine Food Bank open from 9 - 11 a.m.
COVID-19 Food Project open for a hot take-out meal at the Lord's Kitchen
Sunday
COVID-19 Food Project open for a hot take-out meal at the Lord's Kitchen
Living Space is also providing bagged meals at the front desk every day of the week. Meals on Wheels provides service on weekdays.
Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins continues to run the Good Food Box on the third Thursday of the month, with the April box being delivered April 16.
