Glencore Kidd Operations is donating a total of $80,000 to the four local boards.

District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1), Northeastern Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire catholique de district des Grandes Rivières, and Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario will each receive $20,000. The money is from the Glencore Community Support Fund.

“Thank you to all of the teachers, educational support staff and administration teams across all local schools for your ongoing support to school safety,” said Mark Furlotte, Glencore Kidd  Operations general manager, in a news release.

“As schools continue to teach both in-class and remotely, this funding will help school boards purchase digital tools and supplies for ongoing virtual learning as well as COVID-19 related personal protective equipment (PPE) to help keep school staff, students, families, and our community safe.”
