NEWS RELEASE
DOORS OPEN TIMMINS
*************************
Every year, the Ontario Heritage Trust works with communities across the province to open the doors, gates and courtyards of their unique and most fascinating cultural sites so that the public can explore the stories inside. The Municipal Heritage Committee and the Timmins Museum: NEC are working with the Ontario Heritage Trust to present Doors Open Timmins-Porcupine. Access the online event at doorsopenontario.on.ca to discover more about the hidden treasures of the Porcupine gold fields!

Due to COVID concerns it is difficult to host an in-person event at this time, but some sites are still open and accessible to the public! Visit the Timmins Museum: NEC on Saturday, Sept. 26 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up a flyer and all the information you will need to take a self-guided tour of our local cultural heritage sites.

Starting on Friday Sept. 18, follow the Timmins Museum:NEC on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for introductions to our 11 sites - play DOTimmins Bingo, download flyers, share posts and participate in the online discussion.

Doors Open Ontario will remain accessible online until the end of November 2020. Happy exploring and please remember to submit your story to the Ontario Heritage Trust or share your experiences on social media @TimminsMNEC #timminsheritage.
