Essential workers of the day: South Porcupine OPP Platoon B

Help us celebrate the frontline and essential workers continuing to serve our community through COVID-19
2020-04-25 SOPo OPP Nova Scotia
South Porcupine OPP Platoon B members paid tribute to Nova Scotia this spring.

Kim Meunier is recognizing South Porcupine OPP Platoon B.

"They have been working non stop in ensuring our community is safe during these unprecedented times. Their hard work and dedication is often forgotten due to the nature of their jobs. We as spouses and friends witness the long hours and dedication and it deserves recognition. Many missed family meals, events and much more as they make sure the community is safe. There are no set hours in policing. A 12-hour shift can end up being 24 or 36 and they run on fumes but still manage to get to the end of their tasks.

Today I am thanking Sgt. Steve Meunier, Constables Todd Borden, Lisa Huber, Neil Pryor, Cheryl Kennedy, Dan Arseneault, Josh Burton and Sandy Burke. I appreciate all you do to keep your community safe. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed."

Thanks for helping TimminsToday recognize local essential workers. Due to the number of submissions, we are not accepting new nominations at this time. We still want to hear from you! If you know of amazing people who are doing random acts of kindness or finding unique ways to contribute to the community, let us know by emailing [email protected].
