Trina Picard is celebrating Marc Picard, a supervisor at Eacom Timber.

"He is very passionate about his job and puts in great effort every shift. The lumber industry was essential from the get go and he, along with everyone at Eacom had to show up for work even though it was a scary time for everyone. He said it hasn't always been easy especially with the uncertainty everyone was feeling when COVID-19 first came about.

He has worked his shifts without missing a beat and still helped with homeschooling his nine-year-old daughter during the day when he was night shift, or after work when he was day shift. It's been a very stressful time for all essential workers and he deserves to be recognized for putting in the hard work during a time of uncertainty, while also making time for his little girl who is struggling with not being able to play with friends go to school, visit family or go to dance. He has worked at Eacom for over 20 years and always goes above and beyond not only for his crew but for the company as a whole."

Thanks for helping TimminsToday recognize local essential workers. Due to the number of submissions, we are not accepting new nominations at this time. We still want to hear from you! If you know of amazing people who are doing random acts of kindness or finding unique ways to contribute to the community, let us know by emailing [email protected].
