The Porcupine Health Unit is reporting the 89th confirmed COVID-19 case in the region.
It is a person between the ages of 40 and 59 in the Hearst, Hornepayne area. The person was tested Oct. 15 and is in self-isolation. The exposure investigation is ongoing.
This is the second case of the virus reported in that area this week.
Of the 89 confirmed case, 77 people have recovered and nine people have died. There are three known active cases.
