As final preparations are made to open the Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Center's new permanent exhibit, museum staff are taking a short break from preparing the Remember This column. 

The above photo is a previous Remember This entry we ran back in 2015 showing that horse-drawn taxis were once a common sight in Timmins.

The photo was taken by Art Tomkinson and shows a group of people arriving in South Porcupine in 1912.
